Therapy for Anxiety & Depression in Chesterfield & Washington, MO
You’re not alone…
Maybe you’ve been running on empty: constantly anxious, low on energy, or just going through the motions. Maybe you’ve lost interest in things you used to enjoy, or your thoughts feel heavy and hard to shake. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, or a mix of both, it’s exhausting. And it can feel really isolating.
You may look fine on the outside, but inside it’s a different story:
Worry that won’t turn off
A constant inner critic
Trouble sleeping or focusing
Feeling stuck, unmotivated, or like something’s just off
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and therapy can offer you a space to feel more at peace throughout your day-to-day life.
Outcomes you may expect from therapy:
Your thoughts and emotions become more clear and comfortable, instead of feeling confusing or overwhelming
Unhelpful thought patterns lose their grip, allowing anxiety and self-criticism to soften
You respond to stress with more flexibility rather than getting stuck in overthinking or avoidance
Emotions feel more manageable, so you feel calmer and more in control
Your inner voice becomes more balanced and supportive instead of harsh or demanding
You feel more confident making decisions without second-guessing yourself
Daily challenges feel less exhausting and more manageable
Change feels sustainable, not forced or overwhelming
CBT for Anxiety & Depression…
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people get away from overthinking and “worst-case scenario” thoughts, avoidance or procrastination, self-criticism, and emotional overwhelm. Instead of just trying to “think positive,” we work together to spot patterns that aren’t serving you and find new, more uplifting ways of living.
What it’s like to work together…
You don’t need to come in with the perfect words or a clear plan. You just need to show up as you are. My job is to meet you there—with compassion, curiosity, and a practical roadmap.
In sessions, we’ll:
Talk through what’s going on in a way that feels safe and grounded
Identify thought and behavior patterns that are keeping you stuck
Practice small, doable shifts—both in the way you think and how you respond to stress
Build coping skills you can actually use in daily life
There’s no pressure to move faster than you’re ready. Therapy is your space, and we’ll go at a pace that works for you.
Who CBT is good for…
This work is a good fit if you’re:
Tired of trying to figure it all out alone
Ready for strategies that go deeper than surface-level fixes
Looking for relief—and a way to feel more like yourself again
Open to exploring how your thoughts, behaviors, and nervous system responses connect
You might be someone who keeps it together for everyone else—or someone who’s quietly falling apart behind closed doors. Either way, therapy can help you reconnect with your calm, your clarity, and your sense of self.
