About Chloee Steinberg, MA, LPC, CTP

Therapy that honors your story.

I’m a St. Louis based therapist who specializes in trauma, relationships, anxiety, and high-achiever stress.

Background & Experience

As a Professional Therapist in Missouri, I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. During my graduate training, I completed a five-month practicum at a domestic violence agency in St. Louis and a one-year internship at a group private practice in Chesterfield. Throughout this time, I engaged in focused study and training in trauma, attachment, and the neuroscience of psychology, which led me to pursue additional certification in trauma therapy.

I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, relationships, and high achiever stress. Many clients seek therapy with me when past experiences continue to show up in the present, unhelpful relational patterns feel hard to break, anxious thoughts and emotions feel difficult to quiet, or the pressure to do “great” never seems to let up. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, nervous system regulation, and Narrative Therapy. You can read more about these approaches below.

My Modalities…

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In our work together, I’ll help you notice unhelpful patterns—like negative self-talk or automatic reactions—and learn new, healthier ways of thinking and responding. The goal isn’t just to “think positive,” but to build tools that make life feel more manageable, balanced, and aligned with the changes you want to see.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative Therapy is based on the idea that the stories we tell ourselves about our lives shape how we see who we are, what we’ve been through, and what’s possible for us. Sometimes, these stories get influenced by painful experiences, shame, or negative beliefs, and they can leave us feeling stuck. In therapy, I’ll help you step back and look at your story from a new perspective—separating you from the problems you face and highlighting your strengths, values, and resilience. Together, we can rewrite the parts of your story that no longer serve you, so you can move forward with a greater sense of hope, meaning, and possibility.

Attachment/Trauma Informed

Attachment and trauma-informed therapy looks at how our past experiences shape how we see ourselves, how safe we feel with others, and how we cope with stress. When those experiences involve trauma, distress, or inconsistency, they can leave lasting patterns that show up in our adult relationships—like difficulty trusting, people-pleasing, perfectionism, control, or always feeling “off.” In therapy, I help you gently explore how the past may be tied to these patterns and is influencing the present, your current relationships, emotions, and self-perception. By creating a safe, supportive space, we can work to build more helpful patterns and new experiences of trust and connection. The goal is not only to heal from the past, but to develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others, so you feel more grounded, confident, and connected moving forward.
